Ok as it is, I have no “extra” time! But, when this idea was passed on to me from my friend Jenn at Klean I new I had to make time! I have only done this for two days and it has already been a stress reliever. I find myself going to bed at night thinking of things I can do or give anonomously as it makes me feel so much better.
I think by the end of this whole 29 day ordeal I am going to sign up again! Or maybe I wont have to sign up, maybe by then I will just give freely and daily without even having to think about it…….

That Sunny Glow Say goodbye to dry, dull winter skin. Literally! The tools: - baby oil
- bar of Ivory soap
- loofah mitt
I got this tip from Lola Red about shedding drab skin and revealing your inner glow. Hollywood starlets have been doing it for years, and here I am to share the secret. (DISCLAIMER: This may be a cheap trick, but it can be incredibly messy!)
I have never done this but, when my kids and husband are out of the house for awhile I will break out the Loofah and maybe go for the shower instead of the tub. I dont want to have to scrub the tub for hours afterwards as it brings back to many memories of taking a bath after my mom soaked in Baby Oil. I was 12 at the time and jumped in the tub when she was finished to wash my hair, unfortunately when I went to dry it, all of the left over baby oil was stuck to my hair. I had to hurry as we were going to a wedding and didn’t have time to rewash it, my mom said it looked fined. But, when I looked in the bathroom mirror at the reception it looked like I had not washed my hair for weeks. It was devastating and I refused to take baths for 3 years after that. I stuck to showers and rinsed multiply times! Today, I just stay away from oil period in any form in my tub! Not just because of the hair thing but I now fear slipping and killing my self in the tub!
The trick:
1. Fill your bathtub with hot water.
2. Place a towel on the floor next to the tub.
3. Strip down and load your body with baby oil.
4. Dip the Ivory soap and loofah into the water, then rub together to coat the loofah with the soap.
5. Standing or sitting on the towel, start at your feet and scrub every inch of your hot bod until your skin is pink. (You will obviously want to load up the loofah with Ivory numerous times during the process.)
6. Once you have scrubbed to the max, slide into the warm tub and watch the dull, drab skin slip off! (Note: The bath water will be disgusting. You, on the other hand, will be a stunner!)
7. Slather yourself with fab self-tanner for some faux glow!

Former fashion model and television reporter shares her quick beauty tips.
I went from fashion model to frump in record time.Once, image meant everything to me. As a former model and television reporter, I took care of myself and invested in my wardrobe. Now, I take care of kids and the only thing I’ve invested lately is time. After my daughter was born, I wore the same thing day and night: leggings and my husband’s baggy flannels. My pre-pregnancy clothes didn’t fit right. My hair hung in my face.A strange thing began to happen…before long, I ceased to mind wearing the same clothes every day. What’s the point of wearing nice outfits? What’s the point of makeup and mousse? I’m not going to leave the house, I told myself. Who is going to see?
The truth is, the most important person in your household sees you each day. You. Continue reading »
The average person walks about 8,000 steps a day, or 115,000 miles in a lifetime (that’s equivalent of circling the globe 5 times!). And yet, most of us sorely neglect our precious feet. Treat yours to a biweekly foot massage to reduce stress, improve circulation, and soothe knots and tension in the arches and toes.
Did you know that the skin on the bottom of the foot is 15 times thicker than the facial skin?Continue reading »
Imagine a balloon that has been blown up and then deflated. No matter how much you blow it up again, it has lost much of its original elasticity and will never look quite the same. So it is with stretch marks. They don’t go away entirely. The key is to find ways to reduce their appearance. The earlier you begin treating stretch marks, the more likely you are to lessen their appearance; they are much easier to treat when they first appear as raised red or reddish brown marks. Once they begin to flatten and fade, they become less obvious and are more difficult to treat.
About 75 to 90 percent of all pregnant women (90 percent of white women) develop stretch marks during pregnancy. Continue reading »
Along with the cold temperatures, ice and snow, winter also brings dry skin to almost all people, regardless of their skin types. Those with already dry, mature or sensitive skin tend to suffer the most from dry skin during the winter months, but people who have normal or even oily skin notice the effects of indoor heating and the weather elements.
(ARA) - Some people will spend hours baking in the sun to achieve that bronzed look, others will go to tanning salons; but both methods can be harmful to your health.According to the American Academy of Dermatology, 90 percent of the 1 million plus new cases of skin cancer diagnosed this year will be traced to ultraviolet light (UV) exposure; and cancer isn’t the only illness people who spend a lot of time in the sun or on tanning beds can get. Overexposure to harmful UV rays can also cause cataracts, immune system changes, wrinkles, and premature aging of the skin. Continue reading »
